Biography

I am originally from Western New York. Prior to coming to Tennessee I held a number of different teaching positions — as a teacher in NY City in Manhattan’s Chinatown and Spanish Harlem, and as a lecturer at Georgia Tech, CUNY, and at two universities in near Tokyo, Japan, Kanda University of International Studies and Rikkyo University. I have spent a portion of my life learning the lexicons and grammars of other languages; I speak Japanese, German and Spanish at various degrees of un-proficiency. I maintain a website with downloadables of all my publications and a blog that deals with issues of scholarship in instructional design, craigdennishoward.com. I am a proud daddy of a bilingual child.
