One faculty member and three students from the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling were recognized at the Chancellor’s Honors Banquet on April 17, 2018.
Marlon Johnson, doctoral student in Counselor Education, was one of 23 chosen for the National Board for Certified Counselors Minority Fellowship Program (NBCC MFP) and has received an award of $20,000 to support his education, and facilitate his service to underserved minority populations.

Rachael C. Marshall, PhD Candidate in Counselor Education, was given the 2017 Tennessee Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (TACES) Outstanding Doctoral Student Award at the Tennessee Counseling Association Annual Conference in Nashville, TN last month.
Stracee Jones Robinson earned an MS in educational psychology with the Applied Educational Psychology program in 2015. She is originally from, and currently lives in, Chattanooga, TN. We asked her to reflect on past experiences with EPC and discuss where she’s at now. Read her responses below.
Jeffrey A. Russell is currently seeking his PhD in educational psychology and research with the Adult Learning program. Originally from Maryville, TN, he graduated with his BS and a Post-Bacc. from Middle Tennessee State University and earned an MS in English with a writing emphasis from Belmont University. In 2012, he joined Adult Learning at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. We asked him to reflect on some past and current experiences. Read his responses below.
